USI Master Station

and

Data Analysis Software (DAS)

The master station program is included in the price of the DFR. The program will run on Windows™ 95, 98, NT, 2000, or XP. It allows an operator to manually or automatically retrieve data and manually upload/download calibration records, line group information, remote setup information, and auto call filter logic. The Master Station Software can be configured to auto-poll remote(s) and retrieve a quick summary and/or fault records. Boolean logic filters can be entered to filter records. The Master Station Software can be configured to auto print in various formats, automatically E-mail quick summaries and fault location reports, and automatically backup faults to various drives. The operator can perform DFR test runs, reboots, diagnostics, and calibrations. Fault records are uploaded from the DFR in COMTRADE FORMAT (std c37.111-1999). Distance to fault calculations are automatically calculated at the DFR and uploaded with the fault records.

Fault records are quickly uploaded to the Quick Summary table. Critical information such as triggered analog channels (w/descriptor), triggered digital channels (w/descriptor), fault ID#, date, time, fault length, and sync status are displayed. The operator can review the quick summary table and retrieve the complete fault record(s) of their choice. Data compression allows fault records to be uploaded quickly via dial-up or network connection.

Complete fault records arrive at the History Data table. The history data table contains the same information as the Quick Summary table plus a configuration tab/file and header file for entering comments about a fault.

Double clicking on the highlighted fault displays waveforms and sequence of event information on the Graphic Signal Processing screen. Channels can be viewed in sequential order, in a user selected order, or in line groups. Information such as RMS values, magnitudes, peak values, DC values, phase, and a host of statistics can be displayed. Time and magnitude zooming are quick and easy, just left click and drag. To unzoom just click on the unzoom button. Waveshapes can be cut, copied, pasted, deleted, inverted, mathematically added and subtracted. To display FFT information just click on the FFT button. Menu selections include cursor types, zoom types, Y-scale, time reference line, and several printing choices.
